Step 2: Check Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirements:

  • For MBChB, students must have high grades in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics (typically equivalent to A-levels or IB).
  • Indian students should have a strong NEET score (if applicable) and meet equivalent UK academic standards.

English Language Proficiency:

  • IELTS: Overall 7.0 (with no component below 7.0 for MBChB).
  • Other accepted tests: TOEFL, PTE, or equivalent.

Step 3: Application Process

Undergraduate Medicine (MBChB):

  • Apply through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service).
  • UCAS Deadline: Usually October of the previous year for medicine programs.

Other Courses:

  • Apply through UCAS or directly via the university’s online application portal.

Required Documents:

  • Academic transcripts & certificates.
  • Statement of Purpose (SOP).
  • Letters of Recommendation (LORs).
  • Passport & proof of financial support.
  • English proficiency test results.

Step 4: Attend Interview (If Required)

  • For medical programs like MBChB, shortlisted candidates must attend a Multiple Mini Interview (MMI), which can be conducted online or in person.

Step 5: Receive Offer Letter

  • If selected, students will receive a Conditional or Unconditional Offer.
  • Conditional offers require meeting final academic scores and English language criteria.

Step 6: Confirm Admission & Apply for Visa

  • Accept the offer and pay the required deposit.
  • Apply for a UK Student Visa (Tier 4) by submitting the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) issued by the university.

Step 7: Prepare for Travel & Accommodation

  • Arrange accommodation (on-campus or private housing).
  • Complete pre-departure formalities and arrive in the UK before the course starts.
